New Balance has introduced two materials to its NB1 customization platform — a herringbone twill and supple leather from Chicago’s Horween. We’re sure you’re familiar with Horween — the option to add to one of our favorite New Balance silhouettes is amazing.
We had the chance to customize our own pair and we’re pretty happy with the results. A base of gray suede is complemented by tonal herringbone and buttery black Horween leather. We’re not usually looking forward to our sneakers facing extreme wear, but like a fine leather boot, we’re expecting an interesting patina on these.
